Human Nature is looking for a Senior Buyer who primarily sources, negotiates and buys packaging material; must have the required material and purchasing technical knowledge and expertise to manage the packaging materials for personal/home care and cosmetic products.

Main Responsibilities:

• Drive the sourcing and buying of packaging materials and labels
• Ensures that the purchasing guidelines for packaging set out by QA are followed.
• Must be able to demonstrate attention/discipline to detail and strict adherence to timelines
• With strong negotiations skills and experience grounded on a solid understanding of supplier's and our company's businesses.
• Knowledgeable in supplier relationship management and development.
• Continuously seeks to improve material cost
• Ensures suppliers compliance to GKI material standards and specifications.
• Will be responsible for overall supplier performance for Delivery, Quality, Cost and Responsiveness
• Will be responsible for the analysis, timely and accurate conversion of the MRP into PO; and timely material availability along the supply and production plans.
• Expedites and de expedites deliveries to ensure timeliness of material availability without building inventory
• Stays abreast with global trends in PMs
• Works collaboratively with the rest of Supply Chain and Marketing to achieve optimum material inventory
• Maintains an updated purchasing database; is a steward of SOPs
• Supports purchasing process improvements and systems initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing company as buyer/purchaser for packaging materials, background in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals will be a distinct advantage
• Superb negotiation and purchasing skills
• Has good coordination skills
• With very keen attention to detail, discipline for routines and processes
• Solutions-oriented, able to think and act quickly - not bogged down by challenges
• Forward-thinker, learns from challenges and able to plan out for future
• Computer proficient with experience in supply chain software
