Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper (Remote) to help our clients manage the company’s payroll processes and provide support in recruitment and employee relations.



Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Keep financial records up-to-date by entering and categorizing transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring each entry is assigned to the correct general ledger account.
  • Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations: Import QBO files, review transactions from bank and credit card statements, and reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Send collection emails, monitor outstanding payments, and organize net receipts effectively.
  • Client & Vendor Support: Assist clients by handling financial inquiries, collecting invoices and receipts, and processing vendor payments when necessary.
  • Financial Audits & Reports: Conduct audits on bank fees, credit card charges, and overall financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax Planning Assistance: Participate in tax planning meetings and support the team by organizing essential financial data.
  • Calendar & Email Management: Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and oversee bookkeeping-related email communications.
  • New Client Onboarding & Support: Contribute to outreach initiatives and assist with the initial setup for new bookkeeping clients.


Requirements

  • College educated (accounting-related course is preferred)
  • Candidates must provide either an NBI Clearance or Police Clearance (preferred) upon hiring
  • Candidates must provide a proof of separation from their previous/current employer with an indication/confirmation of their last date of employment
  • Must be comfortable with using Hubstaff, a time-tracking application
  • Professional-level English (written and verbal/voice)
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including V-Lookup)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop preferred)
  • Experience using any Customer Relationship Management tool is a plus
  • Computer or laptop with access to the internet (min speed of 25 Mbps)


Hardware Requirements

  • At least a 720p HD Webcam.
  • A noise-canceling headset.
  • At least a 25mbps primary internet connection.
  • A backup laptop, backup internet connection device, and backup power supply in case of power outage and emergencies.
  • Minimum recommendation for your main computer: Intel Core i5 or equivalent with 8 GB RAM or higher
  • Minimum recommended for your backup computer: Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM
