About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Senior SEO Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SEO principles, demonstrate expertise in executing comprehensive SEO audits, and implement effective SEO strategies to enhance our online presence. This role requires a proactive approach to improving search engine rankings, driving organic traffic, and increasing conversion rates.

What you’ll do

• Conduct and be responsible for effective SEO Audits including technical audits.
• Perform content audits to evaluate the quality and relevance of existing content.
• Perform in-depth technical audits to identify and rectify issues affecting website performance.
• Analyze site architecture, crawlability, indexation, mobile optimization, page speed, and other technical factors.
• Collaborate with web developers to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented.
• Conduct thorough backlink audits using industry-leading tools and identify toxic backlinks and recommend disavow strategies.
• Analyze backlink profiles to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Identify content gaps and opportunities for optimization.
• Provide actionable recommendations for content enhancement and alignment with SEO best practices.

On-Page SEO:

• Recommend and implement on-page SEO strategies, including but not limited to:
• Optimizing header tags (H1, H2, H3) for better keyword relevance and readability.
• Enhancing internal linking structure to improve navigation and distribute link equity.
• Crafting and optimizing metadata (title tags, meta descriptions) to improve click-through rates.
• Implementing FAQ schema markup to enhance search result visibility.
• Keyword Research:
• Conduct comprehensive keyword research for Penbrothers' blog and other content formats (infographics, white papers, guides, etc.) monthly.
• Identify high-potential keywords for non-blog pages as needed.
• Utilize keyword research tools to discover new opportunities and optimize existing content.

SEO Competitor Analysis:

• Perform SEO competitor analysis, including keyword/content and link gap analyses.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of competitors’ SEO strategies.
• Provide actionable insights to outperform competitors in search rankings.

Outreach and Link-Building:

• Plan and implement an effective outreach and link-building strategy.
• Identify and establish relationships with relevant websites for link-building opportunities.
• Monitor and report on the success of link-building efforts.

Job requirements

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with Google, SEMRush, and other certifications
• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, best practices, and search engine algorithms.
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and industry changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
• Knowledge of PPC and social media marketing strategies.
