We are currently looking for an Accounting Associate who will be working with Connext's Client in the United States of America.

What is the job?

The Accounting Associate is responsible for managing and processing all invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining our company’s financial health and ensuring that our vendors and suppliers are paid within established timeframes. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a foundational understanding of accounting practices.


Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and input invoices into the accounting system. Ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with company policies.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. Prepare and perform check runs.

• Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or queries related to invoices.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts as required.

• Maintain accurate historical records by filing documents promptly.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures and ensure payments are up to date. Adhere to all internal controls and policies to ensure financial security.


Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field.

• At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in an accounts payable role is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided.

• Experience in Dynamics 365 preferred.

• Basic understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.

• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and vendors.

• Meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring that the work produced is correct and complete without errors.

• Able to handle various tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency in a dynamic, time-sensitive setting.

• Must have a stable employment history.
