The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing general accounting functions and financial operations of the company, including financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, and profit & loss management. This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decision-making and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Oversee daily general accounting operations, including managing the general ledger (GL), journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company accounts.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare, analyze, and update budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Develop and implement financial models to assess business performance and growth opportunities.
Financial Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies,
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Profit & Loss Management:
- Monitor revenue and expenses, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to align budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures with overall company goals.
Process Improvement
- Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements and cost control.
- Streamline financial processes and systems to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational objectives.
- Provide financial guidance and support for cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s preferred).
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus.
- With at least 10-15 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in general accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, P&L and liquidity management.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Must be willing to report 100% on-site
