The Compliance and Incentives Head is responsible for ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards while optimizing the organization’s financial benefits from incentives and tax-related programs. This role operates within a shared service environment, coordinating across multiple business units to maintain governance frameworks, maximize incentives, and promote operational efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements, ensuring timely updates to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments across all shared service processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address compliance-related queries and findings.
- Oversee training programs to build compliance awareness within the shared service teams.
Incentives Optimization:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage eligibility for government and private sector incentives, including tax relief, grants, and subsidies.
- Establish relationships with government agencies, industry bodies, and external consultants to stay informed about new incentive opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and submission of required documentation to secure and maintain incentive benefits.
- Track performance metrics to ensure compliance with incentive requirements, reporting deviations or risks proactively.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison for compliance and incentive-related matters with business units, legal teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate complex regulatory and incentive requirements in a clear and actionable manner.
- Support shared service leadership in decision-making by providing insights into compliance trends and financial incentives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate and improve compliance processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Drive initiatives to integrate automation and digital solutions into compliance monitoring and incentive management.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing compliance and incentive-related efficiencies.
QUALIFICATION GUIDES
- Graduate of Accountancy, Finance, or any related program.
- License preferred but not required
- At least 8 years related experience in Compliance and Incentive Management
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in incentive design in alignment with financial and operational objectives.
